Troop parents,
I have blended together two emails below concerning Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Specific Training. SM/ASM training involves a classroom portion and an outdoor portion. Both are required to complete the SM/ASM Specific Training. David van Kleek, delivered the classroom portion for us in early August and historically, we have folks get the classroom training at summer camp and other places. If you have done this training with David or have done it before and have documentation, you just need the outdoor portion. If you missed the sessions with David and would like to be trained, please plan to attend both sessions as we now have an opportunity to get both done in October. I would like for all of our Scoutmaster Corps to receive this training. Thanks
Classroom Portion
Scoutmaster Specific training is being offered on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3300 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land. It will start at 8 am and go until 4:30 pm. This is a combined North Star and Thunder Wolf Training. You will need to either bring cash or bring your lunch. We’ll send someone out for Subway box lunches.

Outdoor Portion
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) training is being offered on Friday, October 28 thru Saturday, October 29, 2011. This is a Friday night (7 pm) to late Saturday night (10 pm) course. This is a combined North Star and Thunder Wolf training.
