The Wings over Houston air show is coming up on Oct 15-16 at Ellington Field. This is a great event to see some airplanes and learn some history. The Civil Air Patrol is providing an opportunity to earn the aviation MB at the air show (see link below).

This would be a good time to earn a merit badge and for the entire family to have a lot of fun.

P.S. Remember merit badges are not earned for attendance, but based on knowledge and skills learned, so I will be quizzing the scouts about airplanes when they return.
